No HostIdea monitoring window is open for these hosts yet. Uptime and response are published third-party measurements, one per host by a fixed rule (longest stated independent window, and its response figure or the most recent one); methods differ, so read them as a guide. Each review lists every source with its method.
Agencies buy hosting differently: the number of sites per plan, a staging copy for every client, Git or SSH for deployments, and a reseller or white-label option so clients see the agency’s brand. A service level agreement with a credit schedule matters when you have promised one to a client. This list ranks the nine hosts on those terms, read from their plan pages and legal documents.
Only one host on the list attaches an SLA to a shared plan (Hosting.com’s Max). One offers Git and white-label access on shared hosting (SiteGround’s GoGeek). Four sell reseller plans (Hosting.com, ScalaHosting, InMotion, HostPapa). Those facts set the top of the order; the renewal price per client site sets the rest.
1. Hosting.comBest for agencies
Max ($7.79 on a 48-month term, $27.99 after) carries 50 sites, 200 staging sites, a premium SSL certificate and the only shared-plan service level agreement on this list. Reseller plans, an OpenAPI and an MCP server round it out for an agency that automates.
The former A2 Hosting under World Host Group: stated cores and RAM, 30-day backups, staging from Pro, phone support
Best for: Sites that will grow into a managed server on the same platform; Owners who want phone support and stated resources; Developers using the OpenAPI and MCP server access; Agencies on Max with the service level agreement
GoGeek ($7.99 on 12 months, $44.99 after) adds Git, white-label client access and priority support to daily backups and staging. The renewal price is the highest here, so it suits agencies that bill hosting on.
Managed-feel shared hosting on Google Cloud with daily backups and staging; the renewals are the price
Best for: WordPress sites that want backups, staging and a CDN included; Small businesses that value support reputation over price; Audiences near one of its eleven data centers; Agencies on GoGeek (Git, white label, priority support)
Shared and WordPress hosting with a free domain for life, 30-day backups and an anytime prorated refund
Best for: Small business sites; WordPress sites that want backups and a domain included; Owners who want the first site built for them; Audiences in North America, Europe or Southeast Asia
Reseller hosting on SPanel with no cPanel licence fees, plus managed cloud VPS plans for clients that outgrow shared. The shared plans do not quantify resources.
Dallas and Sofia host with its own SPanel, an anytime prorated refund and a credit table that reaches 100 percent
Best for: Sites that will move to a managed cloud VPS on the same platform; Owners who want a refund they can take at any time; People who prefer a free control panel to cPanel fees; Audiences in the US or Europe
Unlimited sites from the Unlimited plan ($3.99 on 48 months) and a cloud tier above it. No reseller product in the plan set we read, and hPanel has no white-label mode listed.
Unlimited sites from Plus ($3.99 on 12 months) in six checkout locations with thirty daily backups, but no reseller plans and no staging on the plan pages.
cPanel hosting on LiteSpeed with 30 daily offsite backups and 12 locations; small disks, now part of World Host Group
Best for: Sites whose visitors are near one of its 12 locations; Owners who want phone support and cPanel; Small sites on a low first-year price; Developers who want Node.js and SSH on shared plans
Pro (40 sites, 2 vCPU, 4 GB) plus reseller plans and a full developer stack, but backups are a paid add-on, which an agency has to buy for every client.
Employee-owned US host since 2001 with a 90-day refund, generous disks and US-based support; backups are a paid add-on
Best for: US sites that want a long refund window; Owners who value US-based phone support; Sites that need 100 GB or more on a cheap plan; Developers who want Python, Node.js, Ruby and Git on shared hosting
Business ($6.99 on 36 months) allows 50 sites with staging on each, and the agency and cloud products sit above. Weekly backups and trial-only email keep it low.
Newfold's WordPress-recommended host: three shared tiers on 36-month terms, weekly backups, a 5 percent SLA coupon
Best for: Beginners who want the WordPress.org-recommended default; Sites that expect to grow into Bluehost Cloud or a VPS; Owners who want AI site-building tools bundled; Audiences in North America
Reseller plans and Elite with unlimited sites, but backups are free for the first year only and resource tiers are relative, so capacity planning across clients is guesswork.
Canadian cPanel host with phone support in 16 countries and five data centers; backups cost extra after year one
Best for: Canadian sites that want Toronto hosting and PIPEDA alignment; Owners who want phone support in their own language; Small business sites that use the bundled email and office tools; Beginners on cPanel with a staged first year
Every host on this list is reviewed from its published terms, cited independent measurements and our own checks, with the source and date next to each figure. The order comes from the overall score plus an editorial judgement on fit for this use case, stated in each entry. Weights:
Should an agency use reseller hosting or one big shared plan?
Reseller hosting gives each client a separate account and lets you bill them under your brand; a big shared plan is cheaper but mixes every client in one account. Use reseller plans once you have more than a handful of clients or need to hand a site back to a client cleanly.
Which hosts have a service level agreement for shared plans?
Only Hosting.com, on the Max plan, in the terms we read on 13 October 2026. Every other host offers a 99.9 percent uptime guarantee with a credit schedule at most, and some (HostPapa) publish no credit schedule at all.
Do any of these hosts offer white-label client access?
SiteGround lists white-label access on GoGeek. ScalaHosting's SPanel reseller plans and the cPanel-based reseller products at Hosting.com, InMotion and HostPapa give clients their own logins without exposing your account.
